Cooling system

Two chillers SBH030 Emerson Super Chillers are provided with two compressors tamdems each one, two circulation pumps and batteries free cooling. Note that the meteorology of León joined to the location and configuration of the system, allow a utilization rate under a very high free cooling. The connections of water (go and return) are centralized in two units of distribution of water APC CDU, from which comes in star shape the corresponding circuits to the 14 exchangers of the server´s room and 2 of the technical room.

All the installation of the water systems is performed under the false floor, in the technical room as in the computer room, the only installation (along with gas extinction outlets) that exist under the false floor. And for the prevention of problems for leaks, there are detectors of humidity under the false floor and on the asme inside the racks.

The set designed joins two basic requirements: high efficiency and high density. We keep in mind that the racks of MPI parallel computing cluster are of very high density with a maximum power of 44kW, and that these racks are contiguous. The following picture shows the schematic plant view of the cube with hot aisle, the access doors, the load of each rack and heat flows.
