The Foundation is a public institution which aims to improve the research tasks of the university, research centers and companies in Castile and León, by promoting innovation in the world of knowledge society in the area of intensive calculation, communications and advanced services, through the technological improvement to the economic development of the Community and improving in the competitiveness of companies.

The Foundation is governed by a Board of Trustees which is composed of members of the University of Castile and León.

The activities and goals, governance structure and representation, as well as the mode of operation of the Foundation is included in the Statutes approved at the Board of Trustees  meeting of january 11st 2008. The Foundation was registered in the Foundation`s Register of Foundations in Castile and León, on march 18^th 2008, section nº 1 of the first inscription, Registration Sheet CL-24-00754

Under the terms set out in the article nº 9 of the Contractor`s Instruction of the Foundation of 14^th May 2008, the processing of employment records by the General Director.
